How Does Botox Work: 

Botox is a type of injectable called a neuromodulator designed to treat wrinkles that form as a result of muscle contractions. They form with repeated muscle movements over time. Think frowning, squinting (crow’s feet), or raising your eyebrows (forehead lines). 

When we inject Botox directly into the muscles causing these movements, it relaxes the tension that forms wrinkles. Resulting in the overlying skin smoothening out and lines and wrinkles fade or disappear.  Many younger patients have discovered that early Botox treatments can actually prevent wrinkles from forming, provide a lift, and give the skin a luminous glow.

Who Should Get Botox:

WHAT IS A LIP FLIP?  

The Lip Flip is a fantastic example of the amazing things BOTOX can do beyond treating wrinkles. In this treatment, we use a small amount of BOTOX to prevent the top lip from flipping under when smiling and resting. This helps the lip appear fuller without filler by exposing more of the “pink” part of the lip. This treatment can be done alone or in combination with lip filler. It’s also known to help with a gummy smile and fine lines around the mouth. Results last 2 to 3 months.
